When Syrian business owners talk about their coping mechanisms and the continuation of their business under the extreme Syrian conditions, one saying is repeated: «the wages of workers have decreased». This fact is the only «positive factor» for the business sector in Syria, as all costs have increased: raw materials, transportation, money transfer, corruption costs and others, but workers have remained with their wages, or more precisely «with their hunger», snatching away the remnants of the Syrian production!

A few days ago, PBS released a film titled “The Jihadist”, which was the final product of the interviews that Martin Smith, an American journalist, conducted with several people, including ones he conducted in a visit to Idlib with the film’s protagonist: Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, as well as with the film’s creator (who at times tried to disguise himself as the antagonist, but no longer even bothers to do so): James Jeffrey.

The latest period, especially last month, witnessed a number of escalating events in northeastern Syria. The escalation took on a stubborn, urgent, and even daily character, where we see nearly every morning a new issue, a new problem, and a new controversy.

Organized international aid for the «state» of the Zionist entity has diverse dimensions and forms, and it is difficult to enumerate them all. However, the connection is deep between the continuation of high-income levels and these flows: from charitable aid to government and military aid, all the way to the last phase in which the flow of foreign investment and corporate finance have become main and important factors. The entity’s economic stability is deeply contingent to the US financial system.
